Hi, I’m Jaana Kulmala. I’ve been writing about online business and financial metrics since 2012. Here are a couple of things I’ve done:
I’ve achieved financial and location independence – no matter that I was born in a poor family.
I’ve built a profitable Software as a Service business, FirstOfficer Stripe Analytics – no matter that I live in Scandinavia, far away from startup hubs.
I’ve changed my life from being a corporate employee to become a business owner and an investor.
No, I don’t currently invest in startups other than my own, so please don’t ask.
I write because I want to encourage you to change your life too. To go and reach out for the things you want. To do scary exciting things with a safety rope.
Only take advice from someone who’s been where you are and have done what you want to do.
Why does she care?
When I was a teen my entrepreneur parents ended up in a 15-year long loan consolidation program. They spent their prime years working to pay their debts. Just because they reached for their dreams and failed.
I care about creative entrepreneurs, because they – you – have the most power to make things better.
Yet, you are in the greatest risk of hurting yourself financially. What you have is leverage combined to risk. You have enough power to get yourself into serious problems. If you’re broke or in debt, you have no time to change the world. You’ll be busy helping yourself. I want you to succeed instead.
True wealth and freedom is to have options. Don’t let anyone push you into a corner.
I share some actionable advice every other week in my Turbine Newsletter. I’d love you to join that bunch of creative enterpreneurs.
